Passing of Rachel Feldhay Brenner
It is with great sadness that the Institute for Research in the Humanities notes the passing of one of its former senior fellows, Rachel Brenner (1946-2021). Rachel, a long-time member of the Department of Hebrew and Semitic Studies and the Center for Jewish Studies, was a major scholar of modern Hebrew literature, and a beloved teacher of UW-Madison students for many years. She was a Senior Fellow at the Institute for Research in the Humanities from 2008 to 2013.
