Jennifer Gipson is a co-recipient of the Larry Schehr Memorial Award

Resident Fellow Jennifer Gipson (French and Italian, UW-Madison) is a co-recipient of the Larry Schehr Memorial Award for best essay by junior faculty at the Nineteenth-Century French Studies Association Colloquium. Her paper, “The Newspaper vs. the Storyteller: Phantasms of Orality and the Quarrel of the roman-feuilleton,” which she presented at the 2015 Colloquium at Princeton University, drew in part from the seminar she gave at the Institute earlier this semester.
