Steven Nadler, IRH Director, will give a virtual lecture titled “Menasseh ben Israel, Spinoza and Rembrandt” on January 31st. The lecture is part of the “Rembrandt Seen Through Jewish Eyes: The Webinar” event hosted by the Jewish Museum & Tolerance Center. The other speakers who will give talks on January 31st are Michael Zell, Associate Professor of Baroque and Eighteenth-Century Art, Boston University (“Rembrandt, the Jews and Multicultural Amsterdam”) and Shelley Perlove, Professor Emerita, University of Michigan (“What Judaism Meant to Rembrandt and Vice Versa”).
