Esther Fernández (Biruté Ciplijauskaité Postdoctoral Fellowship in Peninsular Spanish Literature and Culture, 2023-2024) embarked on a trip to El Paso, Texas to do humanities outreach work with the Dragoncillo Puppet Troupe at the University of Texas and El Paso Country Day School. During the trip she was also awarded the Vern Williamsen Comedia Book Prize for To Embody the Marvelous: The Making of Illusions in Early Modern Spain (Vanderbilt U.P., 2021) from the Association for Hispanic Classical Theatre (AHCT).
