Ana Laguna Awarded the Luis Murillo Award for Best Article of the Year

The IRH would like to congratulate Ana Laguna, (Biruté Ciplijauskaité Fellow, 2020-2021) for receiving the Luis Murillo Award for Best Article of the Year from the Cervantes Society of America for her essay on Cervantes and Caribbean colonialism “Sancho Panza and the ‘Islas Inútiles,’” in the Bulletin of the Cervantes Society of America. Ana Laguna wrote the award-winning article during her time as a fellow at the IRH; after receiving the award she expressed gratitude to the IRH stating: “I would like to thank the IRH for providing me with time, space, and inspiration to delve into my research as can only be done at a place like the IRH.” Congratulations, Ana!
